Verification of Identity

 Did you know that every real estate agent, solicitor and conveyancer must now take reasonable steps to verify the identity of each client who is a party to a property transaction?

 If you a buying or selling a property you will be asked by your solicitor or conveyancer to provide them with original identification so that they can obtain copies to verify your identity.

The relevant identification is a current passport, drivers licence or proof of age card and a marriage certificate or change of name certificate (if applicable).  If you cannot provide any of these then there are other alternatives.

If you are not local and cannot attend our office to have your identity verified, do not fear, you can attend any Australia Post branch and they will verify your identity and provide the relevant documentation directly to us.
